We mail you annual notifications so you may keep your pet’s vaccinations
up-to-date. We will also send you reminders if they are overdue.

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS

We have a complete in-house laboratory where we routinely perform complete
blood counts (CBC), electrolytes, chemistry profiles, fecal parasite checks, and
urinalysis. We also utilize commercial and University veterinary laboratories
for specialized testing. When needed, we consult board certified specialists,
usually at no additional cost to our clients.

We use an advanced EKG transmitter that forwards our patients EKG directly to
a cardiologist for evaluation.

We also have the ability to x-ray your animal from head to paw.

DENTAL CLEANINGS/EXTRACTIONS

Your pet’s dental health is as important as your own. The dangers of periodontal
disease go beyond bad breath and lost teeth. This is one of the many reasons we
provide routine dental exams and treatments. We clean each tooth above and below
the gum line using our safe and thorough ultrasonic cleaning system. Each dental
is finished using a fluoride paste polish. Every year we have a Pet Dental Month
where dental procedures are provided at discounted fees.

GENERAL SURGERY

In order to increase safety, all patients are carefully screened for health
risk, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet . This is why we
highly recommend pre-anesthetic testing. Most patients receive premedication
allowing us to lower the doses of anesthetic drugs. During surgery we utilize
modern anesthesia and surgical monitoring equipment to safely accommodate your
pet’s surgical needs. We routinely provide pain management for every patient
undergoing painful procedures at our clinic.

PHARMACY

As an added convenience for our clients, we provide our patients with their
routine and unexpected medication needs. This includes heartwarm and flea
prevention, most prescription medications, some over the counter, and grooming
products.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

We stock prescription soft and dry food in accordance to the needs of your dog
and cat.





BOARDING AND BATHING

A benefit to only our clients, we offer comfortable boarding quarters for your
pet and peace of mind for you (animal's size limit applies).

We offer general bathing services (animal's size limit applies) as well as,
medicated baths and dips for the dermatological needs of our patients . We will
also cut their nails,clean ears, express anal glands and give a sanitary clip.



MICROCHIPPING

The most important thing you can do to protect your pet is to assure its
identification. A frightening number of pets enter the animal shelter system
each year simply due to the fact that animal control has no means by which to
return a pet to its loving home. Microchips are a permanent form of
identification. They contain information about your pet and can be read using a
special scanner. Most veterinary hospitals and animal control agencies have
these special scanners and will use them to attempt to identify lost pets. We
use Home Again microchips.

ADOPTION

We have helped some dogs and (mostly) cats find new homes. If you are looking
for a new cat or kitten check with us first. We make sure that all of them are
healthy, FeLV/FIV tested negative, dewormed, sterilized, and received at least
their first set of vaccinations.

DISCOUNTS

New healthy pets (new clients) are not charged examination fee when vaccinated.


Senior Citizen and multiple-pet: 20% discounts for annual exam and vaccines.


During Pet Dental Month: 20% off dental procedures.

Susie

Susie began working for Carriage Animal Clinic in August of 2011.She attended Northern Illinois University where she graduated with her

bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Susie loves animals, especially Pit Bulls! She has volunteered her time

with San Diego rescue while she lived in California.

Susie lives with her boyfriend Tommy, son Lucan and Pit Bull Achilles.

She is a great addition and a perfect fit to our team.

Mike
Mike began working for Carriage Animal Clinic in December 2010 after completing a 2 yr. Associates Degree in Applied Science, earning him a Certified Veterinary Technician License.
Mike has been an Animal Trainer for the past 8 years, which also includes being an AKC Certified Evaluator for K9 Good Citizenship.
He lives with his two children and his two French Mastiffs, Pita and Roxy.  Mike is a good addition to Carriage Animal Clinic.

All boarders at our facility enjoy the following amenities:

Please Note the Following Requirements:

• Vaccinations are required for any animal staying in our
  facility, including rabies and distemper vaccinations.


• Bordetella (or kennel cough) vaccination is required for our
  canine visitors.


• Current negative fecal test is required for canine and
  feline boarders.


• Cats allowed to go outdoor need to be vaccinated or tested
  negative for feline Leukemia w/in last year.

You are able to pick up your dog or cat any time during business hours only.
If your animal is not picked up by closing time, you will be charged another day
of boarding.

If during the boarding exam, fleas are found on your pet, the pet will be
treated at your expense. This is necessary in order for Carriage Animal Clinic
to remain a flea-free environment.



If during the courtesy examination of your pet upon check-in or during his or
her stay, the doctor finds that your pet is ill, Carriage Animal Clinic will
attempt to reach you to authorize treatment. If you cannot be reached, the pet
will be treated at the doctor’s discretion.
